Biography & Statement

Hello, my name is Samuel and I am currently studying Photography at Leeds Arts University. I am due to graduate this summer, from which I will continue seeking out photographic projects in both the urban and rural setting around Yorkshire and beyond.

I describe myself as a research based environmental photographer, putting time into reading around my subjects and locations before heading out for a shoot. I have explored ancient artworks within the landscapes, areas of interest in relation to traditional Folktales, and the connection between the city of Leeds and it's natural surroundings during my time at University.

I currently volunteer at Leeds Art Gallery as part of their Youth Collective. This is a very rewarding experience, as I get to connect with like minded individuals and creatives on a regular basis. I am looking for my next project, and would love to collaborate with other local creatives and research driven minds to create quality content that makes a good impact on the community.
